Fact-Finding Committee formed to probe lynching of two telecom employees

KARACHI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Human Rights Surendar Valasai has formed a Fact-Finding Committee headed by Ayub Khosa, Member of Sindh Human Rights Commission to probe into the mob lynching of two innocent employees of a telecom company in Karachi’s Machhar Colony area last week.

Three other members of Provincial Human Rights Vigilance Committee including Kashif Bajeer, Syed Mahmood Alam Shah Advocate and Ms. Shakira Siddiqui advocate have also been inducted in the Fact-Finding Committee. Notification in this regard was issued by Secretary Human Rights Department Ms. Noreen Bashir today.

The Fact-Finding Committee will inquire into the reasons for the said unfortunate incident of mob-lynching besides identifying the factors behind the surge of such incidents of mob psyche and recommend remedial measures for government to curb the trend.
