One man was killed and two other individuals sustained injuries on Monday when the roof of a mud-built dwelling gave way in the Killi Shahizai area of the city.
According to sources from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the incident occurred on Sabzal Road within the provincial capital”s Killi Shahozai locality, where the structure”s roof caved in unexpectedly.
Upon receiving information, a PDMA rescue team was promptly dispatched to the location. Emergency responders transported the deceased and the two wounded persons to the Sandeman Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
The deceased was identified as Liaquat Ali. His body was handed over to his family following the completion of necessary medico-legal procedures. The two survivors are currently receiving medical assistance for their injuries at the hospital.
Authorities from the relevant police station have initiated further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the structural failure.
