Father, son electrocuted in Larkana while draining out rainwater

LARKANA: A father and his son received severe electric shocks while draining out rainwater in Larkana on Wednesday.

According to details, Deedar Chandio, a resident of Yar Muhammad Colony of Larkana, and his 12-year-old son Akash Chandio fainted due to electrocution while draining out rainwater at home. Both were rushed to Chandka Medical College Hospital for treatment, where duty doctors gave them medical aid and saved their lives.

On that occasion, laborer Deedar told reporters that due to the recent devastating rains in Larkana, water accumulated in their house. He said that they complained repeatedly to UC Chairman Shafiq Chandio and other relevant authorities, but no action was taken following which they were forced to drain out rainwater and thus, they both received electric shocks and fainted. He requested the Larkana administration to take notice of the matter and remove the stagnant rainwater from the house to end the unrest.
