Federal Minister for National Heritage and Cultural Division and Chairman of the QuaidiAzam Mazar Management Board (QMMB), Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, along with Chairman of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, honored the Father of the Nation by laying a floral wreath at MazareQuaid on Monday.

The ceremony was followed by the 98th QMMB meeting where critical issues regarding the monument’s upkeep were addressed.

During the meeting, discussions covered the relocation of the historic chandelier from Quaid’s Mausoleum, construction of a boundary wall, and approval of budgetary estimates for maintenance. Other topics included repainting the dome and ceiling of the mausoleum, and employeerelated concerns, with an emphasis on renovation projects to preserve the site for future generations.

Mr. Khichi highlighted the importance of the upcoming 150th birth anniversary of QuaidiAzam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, assuring that the government is preparing to celebrate his birthday on December 25 in a manner befitting his contributions to Pakistan. The meeting concluded with a commitment to protect the heritage and dignity of MazareQuaid.
