5 Pakistani citizens deported from Sharjah on fake British visas were taken into custody upon arrival at Lahore airport

A spokesperson for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed that five Pakistani citizens, who were attempting to travel on fake British visas, have been taken into custody at Lahore Airport on Saturday after being deported from Sharjah.

The arrested individuals had traveled from Lahore to Malaysia on legal visit visas earlier this year

After their stay in Malaysia, the group proceeded to Sharjah, from where they made an unsuccessful attempt to enter the United Kingdom using forged travel documents.

According to the FIA, these individuals, identified as Waqar Anjum, Tayyab Iftikhar, Ali Shan, Malik Zaheer, and Malik Zeeshan, had obtained the counterfeit visas with the help of agents.

Upon their forced return to Pakistan, the deported passengers were immediately handed over to the custody of the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident to dismantle the network involved in this illegal operation.
