Flood victims demand facilities in Ratodero

RATODERO: Flood victims staying at Waris Dino Machi held a protest demonstration on Sunday in their open sky camp, demanding relief goods and other facilities specially mosquito nets which have ruined their kid’s lives due to which deadly disease malaria outbreak is feared.

Residents of Dur Muhammad Hajano village of UC Bosan who protested said that despite the visit of MPA Faryal Talpur and her assurances that all required facilities will be provided to UC Bosan flood affected people but nothing has so far been done which is cruelty.

They said that neither so far tents have been provided to them and people are forced to stay helpless under open sky in this sizzling hot weather and facing hunger. They said that due to stagnant rainwater in the villages they fear outbreak of gastro, skin diseases, malaria and so forth.

The protesters including Dur Muhammad Hajano, Sharif Hajano and others said that their standing paddy crops on thousands of acres have been destroyed, villages have been submerged in rainwater and they have reached here empty handed but government supplied ration and food for two days and then nothing has yet been done. They said Faryal Talpur came here yesterday and assured all out support but nothing has yet been done due to which they are facing hunger.

They said that Faryal Talpur asked PPP leadership to take care of us and ensure supply of all required facilities but they have done nothing. They said no medical camp has been established nor mosquito nets or tents have been given. They demanded provision of all essential facilities.
