Four Members of Notorious Snatcher Syndicate Apprehended with Stolen Motorbikes and Weapons

Islamabad police on Friday claimed to have apprehended four suspected members of an infamous snatcher gang allegedly involved in multiple instances of robbing residents, the Phulgran police station announced.

The police team, employing both technical and human intelligence resources, successfully detained the wanted individuals.

During the operation, officers also seized stolen motorbikes and recovered weapons along with ammunition from the suspects” possession.

Formal cases have been registered against the four arrested individuals, and a more detailed investigation is now in progress, according to the police statement.

The arrests are part of a comprehensive security initiative launched across the federal capital on the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The campaign targets individuals implicated in robbery, snatching, and other serious criminal activities.

Police officials noted that this large-scale operation has resulted in a significant downturn in major criminal incidents. The IGP has instructed all officers to maintain rigorous action against those who deprive the public of their valuable assets.

In a call for public assistance, the IGP urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement and to report any suspicious individuals or objects immediately to their local police station or through the ‘Pucar-15’ emergency helpline.
