Authorities today claimed to have taken four suspicious individuals into custody for legal proceedings following extensive search and combing operations conducted in various sectors of the federal capital, officials confirmed.
The security sweeps, carried out under the supervision of zonal SPs within the jurisdictions of the Karachi Company and Sumbal police stations, involved the thorough inspection of 206 individuals, 46 residences, and nine commercial shops.
Additionally, law enforcement personnel examined 16 vehicles and 43 motorcycles as part of the comprehensive enforcement action.
SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized that the primary objective of these initiatives is to tighten the security cordon around criminal elements and reinforce the city”s overall safety framework.
He affirmed that Islamabad Police will continue to take indiscriminate action against lawbreakers, including land grabbers and drug traffickers, as part of a broader strategy to maintain order.
The SSP also appealed to citizens for their cooperation, urging them to report any unusual activity immediately to the nearest police station or through the ‘Pucar-15’ emergency helpline.
These enhanced security measures are being implemented following directives from the Inspector General of Police for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at curbing illicit activities and ensuring the security of the capital.
