Human needs in rural areas are low, and people are forced to live in the worst conditions. The committee planned to work in nearby settlements during the meeting.
The eighth meeting of the FPCCI’s Central Standing Committee on Rural Empowerment and Development was held under the leadership of the committee’s head, Muhammad Tahir Ansari, who is also the Chairman of Al-Khair Trust. The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mufti Muhammad Ashraf.
The key points of the previous meeting were reviewed, and the progress on their implementation was reviewed in detail. The participants discussed the ongoing relief efforts for flood-affected communities in rural areas and considered strategizing for future needs.
The discussion reviewed the role of FPCCI in helping flood victims, the impact of recent rains on the outskirts of Karachi, and their basic needs. Tahir Ansari, in his address, highlighted the limited availability of basic necessities in rural areas, which forces residents to live in the worst conditions. He emphasized the importance of promoting the spirit of service to enable local communities to help each other.
Tahir Ansari revealed that the FPCCI’s Central Standing Committee will soon develop a strategy in this context. The assembly resolved to host a major seminar on the theme of “Service to Humanity” soon at Federation House or an equally prominent location. The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Tahir Ansari, who thanked all the participants.
