Gilani vows legislative support to boost investment, innovation

Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, addressing the 8th Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit as the chief guest on Thursday, reaffirmed the Senate’s commitment to advancing legislation aimed at protecting investments, fostering public-private partnerships, and eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks.

Commending the organizers for convening a diverse assembly of policymakers, global investors, and corporate leaders, Gilani said the summit plays a crucial role in shaping Pakistan’s economic future.

He highlighted key themes discussed at the event – climate resilience, digital transformation, inclusive growth, and sustainable trade – describing them as ‘blueprints for action.’

‘As legislators, we in the Senate are keenly attuned to your insights,’ Gilani remarked, expressing hope that the summit’s recommendations would inform future policies and legislation, paving the way for a more conducive environment for innovation, investment, and inclusive development.
