Global Campaign Urges Lifelong Integrated Care and Support for Diabetics

A worldwide campaign on Friday called for every person living with diabetes to have guaranteed access to integrated care and supportive policies, ensuring their health and dignity are upheld throughout all stages of life.

The call to action coincides with the global observance of World Diabetes Day today. This year’s theme, championed by the World Health Organization, is “Diabetes across life stages,’ which focuses on the continuous needs of individuals managing the condition.

The initiative emphasizes the critical importance of adopting a life-course approach to the prevention and management of the metabolic disorder, aiming to promote the overall well-being of patients.

Central to the campaign is the message that supportive environments and health-promoting policies are essential for empowering individuals toward effective self-management.
