The local bullion market witnessed a sharp increase in gold prices on Wednesday, with the per tola price of 24 karat gold reaching a new all-time high of Rs 479,262 after an increase of Rs 15,200.
This significant single-day increase in the value of the yellow metal reflected a notable rally in the international market.
Following the same trend, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold increased by Rs 13,031 to Rs 410,889. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold increased by Rs 11,945, after which its new price became Rs 376,661.
Globally, the price of the precious metal increased sharply, and its price in the international market closed at $4,565 after an increase of $152.
An increase was also recorded in the price of silver. The per tola price of 24 karat silver increased by Rs 370 to Rs 7,824.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver was recorded at Rs 6,707 with an increase of Rs 317. The price of silver in the international market also increased by $3.70 to $73.40.
