On Saturday, the local bullion market saw a significant downturn, the price of 24 karat gold per tola became Rs 422,562 after a decrease of Rs 1,600.
The same trend of decrease was also seen across different scales of the precious metal. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold was decreased by Rs 1,372, closing at Rs 362,278. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold decreased by Rs 1,257, with its new price becoming Rs 332,100.
This drop in local prices reflects the negative trend of the global market, where the international price of gold decreased by $16 to $4,002.
A downward trend was also seen in silver prices. The per tola price of 24 karat silver decreased by Rs 65, reaching a new level of Rs 5,127.
Along with this, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver decreased by Rs 56 to Rs 4,395. Globally, the value of silver decreased by $0.65, after which the new price was recorded at $48.65.
