The local gold market saw a significant increase in the price of gold on Wednesday, with the per tola price of 24-karat gold rising by 1,300 rupees to a new high of 516,062 rupees, reflecting a broader upward trend in the value of precious metals.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold recorded a substantial increase of 1,114 rupees, bringing its new price to 442,439 rupees. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also rose by 1,021 rupees, reaching 405,583 rupees.
The silver market also reflected a similar positive trend, however, the increase was modest. The per tola price of 24-karat silver closed at 8,046 rupees after an increase of 32 rupees.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver saw an increase of 28 rupees, after which its market value became 6,898 rupees.
These changes in local prices are in line with the changes in the global market. In the international market, the price of gold increased by $13 to $4,933, while the global silver price settled at $75.62 after a $0.32 increase.
