QUETTA:Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, said Tuesday that in the changing world of digital information technology, media was an effective weapon.
These views were expressed by him while talking to Aurangzaib Kasi, Director General, Public Relations, Balochistan who called on him in the city. He said that revolutionary steps were required to be taken to bring Directorate General Public Relations, Balochistan in line with the modern requirements, adding that media was the fourth pillar of the state and the incumbent government believed in freedom of expression.
Agha said that the success of the media persons was to benefit from modern technology besides enhancing their capacity building. He said, “We are going to enter the paperless future to get rid of pen and paper.” He urged officers of Directorate General, Public Relations, Balochistan to play their due role for highlighting the soft image of country and province at international and national levels.
