QUETTA:Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has said that the incumbent provincial government had attached priority to the proper usage of development funds, adding that provincial anti-corruption department and Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (C.M.I.T), Balochistan would be empowered against corruption so that the proper utilization of development funds could be ensured.
These views were expressed by him while talking to Irfanullah Khan, Director General, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Balochistan who called on him at Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Wednesday. Measures already taken and to be taken by NAB Balochistan against corruption and other issues of bilateral interest came under discussion during the meeting.
“Without rooting out the menace of corruption, it is not possible to create a society based on justice and prosperity”, said Bizenjo, adding that anti-corruption department, Balochistan and Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (C.M.I.T), Balochistan would be empowered against corruption so that proper utilization of development funds could be ensured.
Giving detailed briefing to Chief Minister Balochistan about the performance and achievements of NAB, Balochistan, Irfanullah Khan, Director General, NAB, Balochistan said that like past, NAB Balochistan was going to observe “International Corruption Day” with fervour that year. He extended invitation to Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo to attend the function to be held under the aegis of NAB, Balochistan to mark “International Corruption Day”.
