Hand over Leh Gurudwara management to Sikhs, says SPF

Jammu, August 29, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Sikh Progressive Front (SPF) and other Sikh organisations have demanded handing over the affairs of Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Leh, to the Sikh community. According to Balvinder Singh, President of SPF and President of Gurdwara Pathar Sahib Leh Development Trust, addressing a press conference in Jammu urged the Indian Defence Minister to redress demand for handing over the control of Gurdwara Pathar Sahib in Leh to the Sikh community for development, upkeep and raising of Gurudwara as a heritage site.

He said, heritage site is a sacred place for the Sikh community as well as for the residents of Leh as the place is blessed with the visit of Baba Guru Nanak Dev more than four hundred years ago who meditated there for quite some time.
