KARACHI:,,, Sindh Food Authority (SFA) and Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) will work together for training of the food handlers in the field of safety and hygiene.

The opportunities and possibilities were discussed in detail in a meeting between DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain and MD STEVTA Munawar Mithiani. In this regard a MoU would be signed between the two authorities.

Meanwhile, in a surprise inspection, DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain along with his team visited the kitchen of INDUS HOSPITAL.

Mansoor Ali Abbasi GM ADMIN briefed the DG SFA over improvements they made after the previous visit of SFA Team. DG SFA appreciated the efforts taken by the administration of INDUS HOSPITAL. Col Habib Memon, Director Security was also present.

It was decided SFA and INDUS HOSPITAL will work together to set the standards for Hospital kitchens. Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain met with Coco Ushiyama Country Director World Food Programme Pakistan & Provincial Head Ms. Salma Yaqoob & representative members of WFP UN Islamabad office at Planning & Development, Sindh Secretariat.

DG SFA briefed about coordination between WFP UN & Sindh Food Authority on Food fortification, Chakki’s fortification piloting phase & initiatives taken by Sindh food authority on Safe, Healthy, Hygienic & Nutritious food.
