Madeji:A burglar was gunned down in village Jagir Shaikh near Madeji in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to a report, the burglar, Imam Bux Matoi, entered the house by breaking the wall in a bid to commit theft, but inmates saw him following which exchange of fire took place resulting in the death of the thief.
On information, police rushed to the scene and took the body into custody. Panic gripped the village due to firing between the thief and inmates. The police have lodged a report and started a probe into the incident.
