Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal visited the Provincial Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Polio in Sindh to evaluate the current polio eradication efforts.

During the visit, the Minister was briefed by Provincial Coordinator Irshad Ali Sodhar on the vaccination initiatives and challenges in achieving complete immunization coverage.

Acknowledging the commitment of frontline workers, the Minister stressed the importance of addressing vaccine refusals and urged parents to participate in the upcoming National Polio Campaign.

He emphasized the need for a robust strategy to eradicate polio, noting the concerning presence of the virus in Karachi’s sewage samples. The federal government is committed to supporting Sindh in its efforts to achieve a polio-free environment.
