KARACHI:A meeting of Peoples Doctors Forum (PDF) Pakistan was held under the Chairmanship of Senator Dr Karim Ahmad Khawaja on a Video Link.
All the provincial office-bearers from Punjab, KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, AJ and K and Gilgit Baltistan attended it. The leaders of PDF said that they were adopting the strategy for organizational work to complete as soon as possible.
Peoples Doctors Forum will arrange medical camps in the different parts of provinces across Pakistan. PDF strongly condemned the attitude of federal government to topple the working capacity of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. PDF highlight the role of Standing Committee of Senate, which rejected the bill against PMDC by the federal government. Peoples Doctors Forum KPK announced the convention of PDF in January 2021 at Peshawar followed by other provinces.
Dr Karim Ahmad Khawaja, President PDF Pakistan demanded that coronavirus test capacity must be raised upto 70,000 per day and that must continue till the country becomes corona free. Whenever the vaccine of corona will be launched that must be provided to every citizen of Pakistan free of cost.
PDF decided that next meeting will be held in the month of November, 2020 in Islamabad. People’s Doctors Forum praised the role of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff in fight against coronavirus all over Pakistan. PDF also demanded to compensate the Health Care staff martyred during Covid-19 as declared by the government all over the Pakistan.
The Federal Government has neglected the role of public sector consultants, hospitals, pathologists and laboratories in corona pandemic though the actual frontline fighters belongs to public sector, and even the government didn’t meet and consult them in any way. This feedback came from all over the country.
