Hospital Staff Warned of Strict Action Over Absenteeism as Administration Vows Overhaul

The district administration in Loralai today issued a stern warning of “strict disciplinary action” against medical staff for absenteeism, following a high-level inspection of the Teaching Hospital Loralai that identified concerns over patient care, cleanliness, and medicine availability.

Acting on directives from Deputy Commissioner Loralai, Captain (R) Muhammad Haseeb Shuja, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Ismail Mengal conducted a comprehensive inspection of the health facility. He was accompanied by the hospital”s Medical Superintendent, Muhammad Anwar Mandokhail.

During the tour, which covered various departments, wards, and the emergency unit, Mengal interacted with patients to review the standard of medical care being provided.

He instructed the hospital management to ensure the delivery of timely and high-quality healthcare services, placing particular emphasis on improving hygiene standards, maintaining the availability of medicines, and guaranteeing staff attendance.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner made it clear that dereliction of duty would not be tolerated. In response, hospital staff assured the visiting official that they would perform their duties with dedication and commitment to serving patients.

This administrative action is part of a broader initiative aligned with the health vision of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti. A comprehensive plan is being formulated to enhance the hospital”s capabilities, including the provision of modern medical equipment, the upgrading of laboratory services, and measures to make emergency services more effective.

According to sources, a recruitment drive to address a shortage of specialist doctors is also expected soon, a move anticipated to significantly improve healthcare for the local population.
