According to the latest forecasts made today by the Meteorological Department, hot and humid weather is expected across the country.
However, some relief is expected for the residents of Islamabad, Murree, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, and the surrounding hilly areas where rain has been forecasted.
This morning, the temperature readings in major cities were as follows: both Islamabad and Karachi recorded 29°C, Lahore felt a maximum heat of 33°C, while Peshawar recorded 31°C. Quetta recorded a cooler temperature of 25°C, and Gilgit was at 20°C. Murree and Muzaffarabad were relatively cooler at 17°C and 24°C, respectively.
In the region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy and dry conditions in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla. Meanwhile, in Jammu, partly cloudy skies with strong winds and potential thunderstorms with rain are expected.
Today’s temperature records for these locations include 22°C in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Baramulla, 29°C in Jammu, a cool 12°C in Leh, and 21°C recorded in Shopian.
