A violent clash over a land dispute in the village of Faqir Fazal Rahojo near Pir Jo Goth proved fatal on Saturday. Tensions escalated between the Pir Jo Goth shrine’s devotees and the Rahojo community, resulting in one person being killed and three others injured.
Murad Ali Kalhoro, a devotee of the Pir Jo Goth shrine, lost his life in this clash. Both parties in the dispute used guns and sticks, severely injuring Noor Muhammad Kalhoro, Mashooq Ali Rahojo, and Mir Hassan Rahojo.
Local authorities immediately arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the incident. Police transferred the deceased and injured to Khairpur Civil Hospital for further medical assistance.
Investigations have revealed that the root cause of the dispute was a disagreement over land ownership. Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
Following the clash, a clear wave of fear and concern has emerged within the local community. Both groups involved in the dispute have strengthened their positions, increasing the potential risks of further violence.
