Srinagar, January 21, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have arrested Hurriyat leader, Zahoor Ahmed Butt. The police arrested Zahoor Ahmed Butt, the younger brother of prominent martyred liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, from his residence in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The occupation authorities booked the arrested leader under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and shifted him to Bhaderwah jail in Jammu region.
Zahoor Butt was released from four and a half years of illegal detention eight months ago. It is to mention here that Muhammad Maqbool Butt was hanged by the Indian authorities in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on February 11 in 1984 for his leading role in the Kashmiri freedom movement. He was buried in the premises of the jail.
