Hurriyat leaders visit martyrs’ families in Redwani

Srinagar, July 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Nisar Hussain Rather, Khadim Hussain, Merajuddin Saleh and human rights defender Muhammad Ahsan Untoo visited the families of three civilian youth martyred by the Indian troops in Redwani area of Kulgam district on Saturday.

Speaking to the mourners, Shabir Ahmed Dar said that firing on civilians had become a routine for the occupational forces and they were resorting to such brutal tactics to save the crumbling structure of the illegal occupation.

“The killing of civilians at Redwani is an offence of grave concern and this genocide needs to be stopped,” he said and added that the UN should take serious note of civilian killings in occupied Kashmir.

Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo said that the troops had killed all the innocent people and New Delhi was not even ready to allow Kashmiris to raise their voice over such brutalities. The martyrs were identified as Shakir Ahmad, Irshad Ahmad and a minor girl Andleeb.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader Javed Ahmad Mir while addressing a meeting in Pampore condemned the Indian media for toeing the line of its government and turning a blind eye to the innocent killings in the occupied territory.
