IHC suspends Imran Khan’s arrest warrants in Toshakhana case

ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday suspended the non-bailable arrest warrants- issued by a sessions court of the federal capital on February 28- against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

 

Accepting Imran Khan’s plea against the decision of the Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal, who had issued non-bailable arrest warrants against the PTI chief for repeatedly no show, the IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq directed Imran Khan to ensure his appearance before the sessions court on March 13.

 

After the IHC’s verdict, the sessions court, which was hearing the Toshakhana case, also directed Imran Khan to appear before it, on March 13. The sessions court has to indict the PTI chief on March 13.
