Srinagar, July 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Delimitation Commission is working on data taken from the Deputy Commissioners of IIOJK about the districts, tehsils and previous Assembly constituencies, which had maximum number of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Media reports said that around 18-20 Assembly seats for SC and ST can be reserved in Jammu and Kashmir. The Delimitation Commission is likely to meet next month with enhanced working report, where seven to eight seats for SC Jammu region as they have no population in Kashmir valley and around 10 to 12 ST seats will be reserved in both the regions.
