A significant high-level meeting was held today in the Sindh Assembly, overseen by Provincial Minister of Law, Home Affairs, and Parliamentary Affairs Zia-ul-Haq Hassan Lanjhar. The assembly focused on improving pre-trial coordination between law enforcement agencies and prosecution for the swift resolution of cases to ensure justice delivery for applicants.
The discussion also focused on the roles of police and prosecutors during investigations, aiming to improve legal oversight and conviction rates. Minister Lanjhar emphasized that providing prompt and effective justice to the public is the top priority of the Sindh government.
To address the backlog of cases, the minister announced that efforts will be made in collaboration with the administration of the Sindh High Court to expedite the resolution of pending cases, whether in subordinate courts or higher courts.
