Important Meeting to Discuss Development Priorities of Balochistan

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti today at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to discuss the Federal Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).

The meeting was attended by Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, and other senior officials.

The meeting reviewed Balochistan’s development needs for the upcoming fiscal year’s federal development program. Chief Minister Bugti stated that projects in the public interest would be prioritized in the PSDP. He emphasized the importance of projects related to communication, energy, education, health, irrigation, and clean drinking water.

The Chief Minister requested the federal government to give special priority to Balochistan in the provision of development funds. He stressed the need for adequate funds for ongoing and new communication projects.

The Chief Minister directed the relevant departments to ensure that the projects are feasible in terms of funding and that their social and financial applicability is clear. He said that federal resources must be fully utilized for development.

The meeting also discussed the provincial government’s initiatives and expressed hope for support in Balochistan’s development through the federal development program. The Chief Minister stated that with better preparation, more resources could be secured for Balochistan in the coming fiscal year.
