ISLAMABAD:Quetta Police on Monday registered a case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan for hate-mongering.
The case was registered in the Bijli Road police station on the complaint of Abdul Kahlil Kakar, a local grower. In his application, Abdul Kahlil stated that the Islamabad police on Sunday reached former prime minister Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence to take him into custody for his persistent absences from Toshakhana court hearings. But instead of abiding by the law, Imran Khan dodged the police to evade arrest, he added.
Then PTI chief started addressing his workers through a video link in which he incited the people to revolt against state institutions, the FIR added.
Imran Khan is levelling baseless allegations against the heads of sensitive institutions putting national security at stake. His speech created unrest in the country. His language caused huge damage to the prestige of the officers and the institutions, the FIR held.
The FIR said that PTI Chief also threatened nationwide mass protests as police attempted to arrest him from Zaman Park residence.
