Islamabad: The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has accused India of engaging in state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and alleged its involvement in terrorist activities on the global stage.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Barrister Sultan articulated these claims during a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkey, Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, held at Kashmir House in Islamabad. He stressed that the Kashmir issue extends beyond the Kashmiri people, involving the broader Muslim community. He accused India of depriving Kashmiri Muslims of their religious freedoms, such as the right to pray on Fridays and during Eid.
Barrister Sultan claimed that over 900,000 Indian troops are committing severe human rights violations in the region and called on Islamic countries to recognize and respond to India’s actions against Kashmiri civilians. He urged these nations to exert pressure on Indian leadership to resolve the Kashmir dispute, arguing that India’s Hindu nationalist policies threaten both regional and global peace.
He also referenced Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s allegations about India’s involvement in terrorist activities within Canada, suggesting it as evidence of India’s wider malicious intentions.
In the meeting, Barrister Sultan commended Turkey for its unwavering support of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and expressed optimism that Turkey would maintain its support moving forward.
Turkish Ambassador Dr. Irfan Neziroglu reassured President Sultan of Turkey’s continued support for the Kashmiri cause, pledging to advocate for their rights at international platforms. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Yiprk Es, the Consul of the Turkish Embassy.
