Indian parliamentary elections in IOK useless exercise

Srinagar, April 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Parwan-e-Wilayet has termed the so-called Indian parliamentary elections in the territory as a useless exercise, saying the sham elections are no substitute to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. The Parwani-Wilayet in a statement in Srinagar said the election contestants are trying to befool the people by making fake promises of providing basic facilities. These traitors are slaves of India and have never succeeded in their vested interests, it added.

It urged the people of Kashmir to stay away from the election drama and pay no heed to the hollow slogans of the Indian agents. It also urged the UN to take notice of human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir and ask the Indian authorities to settle the Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The statement called upon the people to follow the Hurriyat programme and remain conscious as the Indian agents are trying to divide Kashmiris for their vested interest.
