Pakistan has extended a formal invitation to the United Arab Emirates’ business community to explore new investment opportunities and participate in a major upcoming agricultural exhibition, signaling a concerted effort to deepen economic collaboration between the two nations.

The significant diplomatic and commercial overture was made during a high-level meeting in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday between Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Pakistan’s Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, and H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE”s Minister of Foreign Trade.

During their discussion at the Ministry, both dignitaries conducted a comprehensive review of the existing bilateral trade and economic partnership. They affirmed the mutual desire to further develop the long-standing and fraternal relations that connect the two countries.

A key focus of the engagement was Khan’s special invitation for UAE companies and investors to attend the 3rd International Food and Agriculture Exhibition (FoodAg 2025). The event, described as a flagship initiative of Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce, is scheduled to take place from November 25-27.

The Coordinator also conveyed his deep appreciation for the hospitality he received, expressing gratitude to the leadership and people of the UAE for their enduring friendship and support during his tenure.

The meeting was also attended by the Trade and Investment Counselor from the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai, underscoring the importance of the diplomatic engagement.
