Authorities have taken 65 individuals, including seven Afghan nationals, into custody for verification following a major search and combing operation in the Sabzi Mandi area on Tuesday.
The security measure was conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza as part of broader efforts to maintain law and order.
During the extensive operation, law enforcement personnel checked 472 individuals, 93 commercial establishments, and five hotels within the jurisdiction of the Sabzi Mandi police station.
The operation also included the inspection of numerous vehicles. Authorities on site inspected a total of 137 motorcycles and 17 other vehicles.
In addition to the individuals transferred for interrogation, 21 motorcycles were also moved to the police station for further checking.
A statement affirmed that the Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
