BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur will provide scholarships for higher education to the children of martyrs of Bahawalpur Police. The university will give full scholarships to two children of Police martyrs every semester. These scholarships will be for bachelor programs in all departments and children getting admission on merit will be eligible for these scholarships. Directorate of Financial Assistance, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will provide scholarships to these children.
These scholarships have been named as Al-Sadiq Scholarship for Martyrs of Bahawalpur Police.
A MoU signing ceremony was held at Abbasia Campus, Prof Dr Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor and Muhammad Faisal Kamran, District Police Officer signed the MoU.
Later, DPO Bahawalpur accompanied by the Vice Chancellor visited Abbasia Campus and appreciated the beauty of the campus. Prof Dr Javed Hassan Chandio, Dean Faculty of Arts and Languages, Prof Dr Jawad Iqbal Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof Dr Aftab Hussain Gillani, Dean Faculty of Law, Jibran Jamshed, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Director Press Media and Publications were present on this occasion.
