JKML concerned over deteriorating health of party leader

Srinagar, September 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained party leader, Assadullah Parray. The JKML Acting Chairman, Abdul Ahad Parra in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Assadullah Parray has developed various serious ailments due to his continued detention in different jails for the past four years. He said that the wife of the detained leader had passed away while one of his six daughters was suffering from skin cancer.

Abdul Ahad Parra said that in the absence of any male member, the family of Assadullah Parray was facing immense hardships. He appealed to the International Committee of Red Cross, Human Rights Watch and other world human rights organizations to help in the release of the detained party leader.

The JKML Acting Chairman also denounced the raids by the Indian Army on the residence of party General Secretary in Pulwama, Manzoor Ahmed Lelahari, vandalizing of household goods and harassment of the family members. He said that such brutal tactics by the Indian forces could not intimidate the people of occupied Kashmir into submission.
