Karachi Kings elect to bowl first against Peshawar Zalmi

KARACHI:Karachi Kings Wednesday won the toss and opted to bowl first against Peshawar Zalmi in the 17th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

It is to be noted here that Karachi Kings have won two out of the six PSL 8 matches they have played so far. Karachi Kings rank fourth on the points table with four points. They may feel hard done by lady luck as three of their four defeats have been by close margins – by two runs against Peshawar Zalmi, by six runs against Quetta Gladiators and by three runs against Multan Sultans at the latter’s home.

They, however, took heart from their crushing 66-run win over Multan Sultans on Sunday last in what was their last match at home, and how they steamrolled arch rivals Lahore Qalandars by 67 runs.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi remained victorious in two out of the five matches they have played so far in PSL 8. Peshawar Zalmi rank fifth on the points table with four points. They had defeated Karachi Kings by two runs in their campaign opener.
