An intense exchange of fire between law enforcement agencies and suspected dacoits near the Lyari Expressway bridge today resulted in the arrest of one suspect in an injured condition.
The encounter took place near the Yasinabad graveyard within the limits of the Azizabad police station in District Central. The arrested suspect was identified as Waqas son of Abdul Majeed.
Following the shootout, authorities recovered a pistol with ammunition, some cash, and a motorcycle from the scene.
The injured suspect has been transferred to a hospital for medical treatment under custody. Authorities have confirmed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
