Police arrested one suspect in an injured condition after retaliatory action following an armed encounter between police and alleged street criminals on Saturday morning.
The exchange of fire took place at Nazir Chowk in the Ibrahim Hyderi area.
The arrested person was identified as Ali Hassan alias Ali Shedi, who was arrested in an injured condition after the firing.
During the incident, an accomplice of the arrested suspect managed to escape from the scene after evading authorities.
A weapon, several mobile phones, and cash were recovered from the possession of the arrested person.
