Kashmir solution imperative for durable peace in South Asia

Ankara, March 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Senior Vice President of Saadat Party of Turkey, Mustafa Kamal Akaya, has said that the solution of the long-pending Kashmir dispute is indispensable for durable peace in South Asia. Mustafa Kamal Akaya expressed these views while talking to the Kashmiri delegation led by Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir leader Abdul Rasheed Turabi at the headquarters of Sa’at Party in Ankara. He said that they would include the unsolved Kashmir dispute in their party manifesto and organize a vigorous campaign at international level for the settlement of the lingering dispute

He said the solution of the dispute for the protection of the region and world peace is the responsibility of the international community. He said that Najmuddin Erbakan always supported Kashmir and Palestine issues and every worker of Saadat Party considers it his duty to represent and support the oppressed people of Kashmir and Palestine. He said that the issue of Kashmir has always been a permanent part of the agenda in their conferences and seminars and Muslim rulers want to play an effective role in resolving problems like Kashmir and Palestine.

Abdul Rashid Turabi on the occasion said, “We have come on behalf of the Kashmiri people to express solidarity with the earthquake victims of Turkeye, adding that Pakistan would play its role for the rehabilitation of the earthquake victims. He said the Saadat Party has always played a leading role regarding the Kashmir dispute and Najamuddin Arbakan has supported Kashmiris not only at the local level but also at the global level. He said the Modi government wants to erase the culture and civilization of the Kashmiris and Muslims have been made third-class citizens in India.

Kashmiri representative Syed Ijaz Rahmani, who was part of the delegation, informed Mustafa Kamal about the latest situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the serious violations of human rights by Indian troops in the territory. The delegation also included Dr Nadeem Chaudhry, Chairman of the Pakistan-Turkey Solidarity Forum and Talha Sheikh, the commander of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, Turkey.
