KMC administrator praised Chippa welfare services

KARACHI:Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed has said that selfless and non-discriminatory organizations serving humanity are commendable, many welfare organizations in Karachi are rendering exemplary services including hidden welfare associations, social and welfare organizations and the provision of civic services can be further improved through the joint efforts of the local bodies.

The Karachi Metropolitan Municipality (KMC) appreciates the cooperation of these institutions and will continue to work with them, he said. Talking to the visiting delegation led by the founder of the organization Muhammad Ramzan Chippa, he said that Khalid Khan, Senior Director Coordination, Shabiha Al Hasnain Zaidi, Director General Works and Ali Hassan Sajid, Senior Director Media Management were also present on the occasion. Chippa told Administrator Karachi that we are with you in all the works done for the betterment of the city. Hundreds of volunteers of Chippa Welfare Association are ready to take part in providing civic services, Chippa Welfare Association said.

The mission of which is to serve humanity the largest ambulance service in the country is being run with 1,000 ambulances, out of which 500 ambulances are in charge of transporting patients to hospitals in Karachi, he said, adding that homeless children can be brought to the shelter homes of association without any identification where they are provided the best environment, Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed said that the homeless children who are brought to the shelter home should be provided proper education and training so that they can become better citizens, he said that the Holy Prophet has commanded to feed the hungry and give water to the thirsty and all this should be done without any discrimination. Chhipa Welfare Association provided the best of humanity by providing two meals a day to thousands of people daily.

Administrator Karachi on this occasion invited Ramzan Chipa, founder of Chipa Welfare Association to cooperate with KMC in the field of disaster management. If he wants, he can send Chipa Welfare volunteers to KMC’s disaster management training through master trainers.

He said that the cooperation between local bodies and social and welfare organizations in Karachi has yielded excellent results in various walks of life and the best example of this is the tree planting in Karachi which has beautified the city. It is being made green. In addition, social organizations are doing their best in the medical field and with their cooperation, the city’s cemeteries are also being improved. Further improvement is expected in the coming days.
