KARACHI: Friends, colleagues and writers praised the journalistic and literary work of the senior journalist of The News International Karachi Jan Khaskheli at a condolence reference organized by Karachi Press Club (KPC) here on Friday.

The journalist colleagues of late Jan Khaskheli eulogized his writings especially on the genuine issues of rural people. Khaskheli was a sensitive person and all this was reflective in his writing. He was covering the pressing issues of rural Sindh especially water shortage and problems of agriculture.

Khaskheli was a self-made person who started his journalism career from Sindhi newspapers and then shifted to English newspapers. He wrote on environmental issues and received awards on his stories. At the condolence reference the participant writers and poets said Khaskheli’s short stories and poetry were in fact reflection of his deep attachment with the people.

He was an author of many books of short stories and poetry. President of the KPC Fazil Jamili said Jan Khaskheli was a nice literary person who was very active in Karachi’s literary circles. He was active participant of Sindhi Adabi Sangat.
