Khanpur: A landlord was shot dead over a land dispute near Khanpur on Wednesday.
Rescue sources said that armed men shot dead landlord Abdul Razzaq Brohi in Dakho Garhi locality near Khanpur. The culprits fled to unknown destination after swift operation. The cause behind the murder was stated to be a land dispute between cousins.
The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. Police have registered the case and have started an investigation. Tense situation prevailed in the area as more bloodshed is feared.
