RATODERO:Larkana police on Saturday claimed to have apprehended main accused Shafi Rind involved in sexually assaulting girl Saira Shaikh.

At Ratodero police station, a citizen Abdul Ghaffar Shaikh had informed that his daughter was along going to the relatives' house located few streets away from his home but she did not return he came to know that she has been raped.

On receipt of such information, the affected girl was sent for medical examination and taking legal action as a case 99/2024 was registered under sections 364 A, 376 and 342.

The suspect, Shafi Muhammad son of Ghazi Rind, was also arrested today whose age is between 18-20 years. He is the resident of the same area, police added.

SSP Dr Imran also visited the affected girl in the Chandka Hospital where he enquired about her health and also urged the doctors to provide all possible health care facilities to her.

A committe of doctors comprising Dr Waqarul Nisa, Dr Shabana Soomro and Eshwar Lal has been formed for proper treatment, management and look after for the admitted gir, Saira at Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana.

Meanwhile, MPA Frayal Talpur who is also chairperson of Sindh Assembly's Standing Committee on Home Affairs also took notice of the issue and directed the police to apprehend the accused promptly. She also made telephonic contact with the father of the victim and assured him of all possible support for justice.
