Launch of Grand Operation Against Encroachments in Karachi

Under the orders of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, a grand operation against encroachments has been launched in all districts of Karachi.

This operation is being supervised by Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Rabia Saeed. Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and other agencies are participating in this operation.

According to the spokesperson of Commissioner Karachi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, the operation is ongoing in various areas including Pathan Colony, SITE, Malir Nadi, and other locations. During the operation, two shops were demolished, while stalls and other encroachments were removed. It has been indicated that this operation will continue on a daily basis.

The Commissioner of Karachi encouraged all participating officers for conducting the operation and stated that the target to make Karachi free from encroachments will be achieved before Eid alAdha. Citizens have been urged to report encroachments to the relevant authorities.

Furthermore, a meeting of the Price Advisory Committee was also held under the supervision of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi. The meeting discussed price control and actions against illegal profiteers. The Commissioner of Karachi instructed that unregistered profiteers be removed from the market and legal action be taken against illegal profiteers.

The Commissioner stated that no baker or hotel would be allowed to sell items at prices higher than the official rates. All Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to conduct a price control drive and impose fines or send illegal profiteers to jail.
