District Malir Sukhan Police on Sunday arrested a man for allegedly administering injections harmful to human health to buffaloes, with the aim of artificially increasing milk production.
Acting on a tip-off, Sukhan Police took the accused, whose name has not been disclosed, into custody near Road No. 2. Authorities stated that several “Boston injections” were recovered from the accused’s possession at the time of the arrest.
During initial interrogation, the accused confessed to routinely injecting dairy cattle with the harmful substance to boost milk production. It was also confirmed that this practice was carried out on a daily basis.
The investigation also revealed the detained person’s involvement in the illegal trade of these substances. Authorities said he was involved in both the procurement and distribution of these injections.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting raids to find and apprehend other associates connected to this operation. The Sukhan Police have registered a formal case.
