Massacre of hundreds of thousands of Muslims at the hands of Dogra Raj and extremists is a dark chapter for humanity, Speaker Sindh Assembly

On the occasion of Jammu Martyrs’ Day, Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Syed Owais Qadir Shah, delivered a significant message today, highlighting historical injustices and current human rights concerns in the region.

Highlighting the events of 6 November 1947, Shah described the sacrifice of those martyred in Jammu as a pivotal moment in history. “The massacre of hundreds of thousands of Muslims at the hands of the Dogra regime and extremists is a dark chapter for humanity,” he said, paying tribute to the martyrs whose sacrifice, according to him, keeps the struggle for freedom alive.

Shah reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to supporting the Kashmiri people, vowing to continue political, moral, and diplomatic support. In a strong appeal to the global community, he emphasized the need for immediate attention to the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, requesting international intervention to address the grave situation.
