Maulana Salman Nadvi delivers lecture on “Role of Council of Islamic Ideology in Legislation and Expectations”

Islamabad, January 09, 2018 (PPI-OT):A lecture on “Role of Council of Islamic Ideology in Legislation and Expectations” was delivered by Maulana Salman Nadvi of South African University on Tuesday, the 9th January, 2018 at 1400 hours in the auditorium of Council of Islamic Ideology who is son of later Syed Sulaiman Nadwi (RA), originally from Bihar.

In his lecture, he reviewed as to how at the time of recent legislation in Islamic countries the sectarian norms were incorporated in constitutional codes to address the basic social problems. He pointed that individually we can follow the formulated sects but as a whole we need to evolve legislation on the basis of collective Sense of Islamic Jurisprudence into consideration the social situation.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology in his concluding remarks termed the best way to resolve the problems is to follow all basic principles of all sects in our whole life. The Council is a cream of all institutions, continuation of Constitution of Pakistan 1973.
