Meezan Bank has introduced a new Foreign Currency (FCY) Debit Card aimed at facilitating Pakistani exporters and freelancers with international transactions. The card is specifically designed for those holding an Exporters’ Special Foreign Currency Account (ESFCA) with the bank.
According to a statement by Meezan Bank Limited, the FCY Debit Card is powered by Mastercard and is accepted globally, simplifying cross-border payments for business transactions and retail purchases. This initiative allows account holders to make payments without prior approval from the State Bank of Pakistan.
The card provides additional features such as worldwide cash withdrawal from Mastercard ATMs, real-time spending tracking, and secure e-commerce transactions through 3D Secure technology. It also supports contactless payments with NFC technology.
Syed Iftikhar ul Haq, Group Head – Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, expressed enthusiasm about the new offering, highlighting its role in empowering exporters and freelancers within a global economy. The card aims to streamline international payments, enhancing the financial tools available to users.
